Job description

Kumon Math & Reading Center is seeking a Center Manager to help lead our established Baltimore-area learning center. This is a great opportunity for a natural leader who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and taking ownership.

The ideal candidate is comfortable leading a team, building relationships with families, and wearing multiple hats in a small-business environment. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow beyond a typical part-time role and take on greater responsibility over time, with potential future opportunities for a business-minded candidate.

Compensation:

  • $28–$35 per hour

  • Part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week)

  • Additional hours as needed and flexible

  • Growth opportunities

Compensation:

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support center staff, including employees, while maintaining clear expectations

  • Build strong relationships with parents and families, and address concerns professionally

  • Meet with prospective families and explain the value of the Kumon program in a warm, consultative manner

  • Oversee daily center operations, organization, and administrative tasks

  • Identify problems, improve processes, and step in wherever needed to keep the center running smoothly
