Join the City of South Jordan as a Communications and Multimedia Manager!
The City of South Jordan is seeking a dedicated Communications and Multimedia Manager to help connect residents with the services, programs, and stories that shape our community. In this leadership role, you will guide citywide communication efforts, ensuring transparency, trust, and meaningful engagement with the public. Working closely with City leadership, departments, and the community, you will play a vital role in strengthening relationships and promoting the City's mission and values.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead strategic communication efforts aligned with City Council priorities and community needs
  • Serve as the City's Public Information Officer, including during emergency response situations
  • Oversee and mentor communications staff, supporting professional growth and team success
  • Coordinate public relations, media outreach, and digital communication initiatives
  • Manage the City's website, social media presence, and marketing campaigns
  • Develop reports, surveys, and outreach strategies to measure and improve community engagement

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in communications or public affairs; two (2) years of which have been in a supervisory capacity
  • Strong leadership and supervisory experience
  • Skilled in media relations, digital communications, and strategic messaging
  • Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships across diverse audiences
