Responsible for the design, development, layout and coding at the University level, including all college and department websites assigned. Participates in CSU web and e-initiative projects as a mechanism to inform, recruit, market and educate customers consistent with CSU and technology strategies. Provides guidance and expertise including technical and graphical aspects. Interacts professionally with internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Computer or Information Science or related fields.
  • Two years of experience developing and maintaining medium- to large-scale websites, including server interaction via SSH and SFTP.
  • Experience working with hosting-platform command-line tools for workflow automation and environment administration.
  • Related work experience may be substituted for education requirement. One (1) year of related work experience can be substituted for one (1) year of education. For example, a candidate with a high school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent and six (6) years of related work experience can be eligible to apply.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of CSS, HTML5, GIT,SQL, PHP, XML.
  • Project-driven and experience working collaboratively on development teams.
  • Two (2) years of experience developing, maintaining, and administering content management systems such as Drupal, WordPress, SharePoint, or established CMS, including hands-on work with custom functionality, workflow management, system updates, and long-term platform support.
  • Experience modifying, extending, or customizing contributed Drupal modules and WordPress plugins to meet project requirements.
