Job description

The Marketing Assistant supports day-to-day marketing activities by coordinating promotional content, assisting with event marketing, and maintaining a strong brand presence across digital and print platforms. This role works closely with other departments to ensure timely and creative execution of marketing initiatives that enhance customer engagement and promote auction events.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in all marketing interactions
  • Collaborate with internal departments to create and update marketing materials
  • Coordinate the distribution of marketing content such as flyers, signs, banners, and digital media
  • Create and manage social media content for platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Develop engaging video content for social media and the company website
  • Assist in designing client-specific promotions and auction day campaigns
  • Support planning and promotion of special events for customers and employees
  • Help maintain a dynamic and engaging auction atmosphere through creative promotions
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, supervisors, and customers
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Education and Experience:

  • Marketing degree a plus, but not required
  • Graphic Design experience a plus, but not required
  • On-the-job training provided.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (e.g., banners, signage, promotional materials)
  • Occasional standing, walking, and moving around event spaces or auction facilities
  • Ability to work indoors in an office setting and occasionally outdoors during events or promotions
