Head of Product - Micropayments Solution

De Circle

San Francisco, CA • On-site, Remote

$274K - $287K/yr

Full-time

Re-posted yesterday

Key responsibilities

  • Define the vision, roadmap, and execution plan for Semiotic's Micropayments Solution.

  • Lead the development and scaling of the micropayments infrastructure to support high-frequency, low-latency transactions between autonomous agents.

  • Collaborate with developer communities and protocol partners to facilitate early adoption and integration of the micropayments technology.

Job description

Semiotic AI is a research and engineering lab building intelligent agents and cryptographic systems that expand the possibilities of Web3. Since 2021, Semiotic has been one of the core development teams funded by The Graph Foundation, contributing AI-powered automation, optimization, and cryptography to the decentralized data infrastructure.
Over time, Semiotic has incubated and launched several products at the intersection of AI, cryptography, and decentralized infrastructure. The newest initiative - the Micropayments Solution - builds payment rails for agent-to-agent economies, enabling high-frequency, low-latency, and cost-efficient transactions between autonomous agents. This technology underpins the next era of decentralized coordination, where AI agents and protocols exchange value in real time.
The Role:
Semiotic is seeking a Head of Product to lead the vision, roadmap, and execution of its Micropayments Solution. This role sits at the heart of Semiotic's future, bringing together cryptography, AI, and financial infrastructure. The ideal candidate will combine product strategy experience with a deep understanding of crypto primitives, DeFi ecosystems, and developer needs.
As Head of Product, you will define how Semiotic's micropayments infrastructure evolves - from early adoption by developer communities and protocol partners, to scaling into the backbone of AI-driven economies.
What Success Looks Like
  • Semiotic's micropayments solution becomes the default infrastructure for high-frequency agent-to-agent transactions.
Early partners and developers successfully integrate the technology into production use cases.
  • The product roadmap evolves into a scalable, extensible framework that supports billions of autonomous agent transactions.

Why Join Semiotic?
  • Pioneering Work: Be part of building the foundations for decentralized AI economies.
  • Research Meets Product: Work with a world-class team of cryptographers, AI researchers, and protocol engineers.
  • Ecosystem Impact: Semiotic is backed by The Graph and collaborates with some of the most ambitious projects in Web3.
  • Remote-First & Global: Join a distributed team, with the freedom to work from anywhere.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience
    • 7+ years in product management, with at least 3+ in crypto / Web3 infrastructure, payments, or financial systems.
    • Demonstrated success in bringing developer-facing platforms, protocols, or SDKs from zero to adoption.
    • Strong familiarity with DeFi primitives, L2s, and crypto-economic design.
  • Skills
    • Ability to translate technical complexity (cryptography, consensus, micropayments) into intuitive product experiences.
    • Strong user empathy - with both developer and protocol partner mindsets.
    • Proven ability to set vision, execute roadmaps, and align cross-functional teams.
  • Mindset
    • Excited about AI-to-AI economies and the role of micropayments in enabling them.
    • Entrepreneurial, experimental, and comfortable with uncertainty.
    • Mission-driven, with a genuine passion for decentralization.
