Job description

Automation QA Engineer

Your deliverables as an Automation QA Engineer will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create test cases from product specifications.
  • Design and write automated tests across mobile and web application.
  • Assist in the review of software development processes to improve product quality.
  • Drive in-depth investigations of bug reports and analyze which QA processes catch issues to help continually improve quality over time.
  • Reviews product documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Design, develop, and maintain test scripts to be automated.
  • Provide testing effort estimates for enhancements.

Required Experience:

  • 8+ years of hands-on Quality Assurance experience
  • BS in Computer Science (or related fields)
  • Strong scripting or automation programming experience
  • Highly curious mindset, with an eye for detail and a talent for thinking of blind sports others may have missed
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methods and techniques including the software development lifecycle.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills, with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with specialized software tools; effectively implement and evaluate new processes or plans.
  • Must have experience with bug tracking software such as Jira, Bugzilla, HP ALM/Quality Center or equivalent.
  • Ability to execute test plans and test scripts for commercial software applications, document expected results vs. actual results, and record software defects.

Preferred But Not Required:

  • Experience with Cloud Providers like Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of build and configuration management tools such as Jenkins
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git, SourceTree, and Bitbucket
  • Experience designing and building mobile automated testing framework from the ground up
  • Experience with Cypress browser automated testing
