What are Middle QA Engineers?

Middle QA Engineers are quality assurance professionals with a moderate level of experience, typically around 2-4 years in the software testing field. They are responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying and documenting bugs, and collaborating with development teams to ensure software quality. Middle QA Engineers usually have a solid understanding of both manual and automated testing processes and can work independently or as part of a team. They often mentor junior QA staff and contribute to improving testing procedures within their organization.

  • Build and maintain UI automation suites using Playwright and/or Cypress;
  • Work with REST APIs and Web Services, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines;
  • Maintain and update the team's project knowledge base and documentation;
  • Collaborate with the team to review and improve QA processes and best practices;
  • Conduct peer reviews of QA team members' work;
  • Participate in regular meetings with distributed team members;

  • Comfortable with HTML and CSS;
  • Experienced with CI/CD processes (e.g., CircleCI) and REST/Web Services;
  • Strong in QA theory: testing methods, levels, types, and techniques;
  • Knowledgeable in test artifacts — test scenario, test case, test plan, test strategy, reporting, metrics;
  • Experienced using JIRA for test management and issue tracking;
  • A collaborative leader with prior experience managing or mentoring a QA team.

Nice to have:
