Join a dynamic team dedicated to building exceptional digital experiences. This innovative company thrives on creating intuitive, high-performing web solutions that empower users and drive business success. They are committed to quality and are looking for a proactive individual to ensure every project exceeds expectations.
Are you a natural problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring seamless web experiences? We are seeking a highly skilled individual to step into a pivotal role where your expertise will directly shape the quality and success of cutting-edge web applications. This isn't just about finding bugs; it's about deeply understanding user journeys, anticipating potential issues, and proactively safeguarding the integrity of every digital product. Your insights will be crucial in delivering flawless, impactful solutions that delight users and drive our clients' success.
What You'll Do
  • Understand project requirements and business goals to strategically determine testing scope.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans with minimal oversight.
  • Perform contextual testing, evaluating real-world user interactions beyond predefined requirements.
  • Identify and address functional issues, usability concerns, content problems, accessibility issues, and inconsistencies across various browsers and devices.
  • Verify robust integrations with third-party systems, including forms, CRMs, payment gateways, authentication systems, and APIs.
  • Validate responsive design and behavior across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Reproduce reported issues, investigate root causes, and provide clear, detailed bug documentation for developers.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, developers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to release and regression testing cycles for ongoing website maintenance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards.
  • Ensure the highest quality of websites and web applications prior to client release.

Future Impact and Growth
Looking ahead, you will be instrumental in evolving our testing capabilities by implementing automated testing for our web applications. This exciting responsibility includes evaluating and selecting automation frameworks, creating automated regression tests, and seamlessly integrating automated testing into our development workflow, directly impacting our efficiency and product quality.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in testing websites or web applications.
  • A unique ability to think critically from both a business analyst's and an end user's perspective.
  • Strong foundational understanding of modern website and web application functionality.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and robust problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in writing clear, reproducible bug reports.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, essential for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Must be a US citizen and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.

What Will Set You Apart (Nice to Have)

  • Familiarity with testing content management systems like WordPress or Drupal.
  • Proficiency with browser developer tools.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, and SQL.
  • Experience in testing accessibility (WCAG), performance, and SEO-related functionality.
  • Background in Agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar platforms.

Your Impact and Approach
The successful candidate for this role goes beyond simply verifying functionality. You are a curious investigator who asks the critical questions that lead to exceptional user experiences and robust solutions. You will proactively explore:
  • Does this workflow intuitively guide a first-time visitor?
  • How does the system respond to unexpected user inputs?
  • Are there overlooked business scenarios that could impact functionality?
  • Will this feature maintain its integrity across all browsers and devices?
  • What are the potential edge cases that could affect our clients?

Your critical thinking and proactive identification of issues will be vital in elevating the overall quality of every project delivered.
