Job description

Tele-Consultants, Inc. (TCI) is seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst with extensive expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to join our team that develops interactive electronic technical manuals (IETMs) in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT). Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: โ€ข Support modernization efforts for an existing DoD IETM system
โ€ข Develop and implement an HTML-based solution to replace existing XML/XSLT-based IETMs to include converting structured XML content into HTML/CSS/JavaScript content
โ€ข Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and engineering teams to maintain fidelity of technical data
โ€ข Ensure that code meets browser compatibility specifications and limitations
โ€ข Support quality assurance and integration testing related to new front-end implementations
โ€ข Work independently and as part of a team
โ€ข Communicate effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment Education and Experience:
โ€ข Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Web Design, Web Development, Information Technology, or other technical related field from an accredited university (advanced certifications and the extent of practical experience may compensate for not having a degree)
โ€ข 3+ years of experience and advanced proficiency in developing content using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
โ€ข Familiarity with XML/XSLT, data transformation concepts, and structured content workflows
โ€ข Strong understanding of modern browser limitations and security considerations (e.g. XML parsing restrictions) Additional Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข Have a current security clearance eligibility โ€ข Prior experience supporting NUWCDIVNPT, especially within the Undersea Warfare Electromagnetic System Department (Code 34)
โ€ข Experience developing DoD IETMs or other military technical writing products
โ€ข Experience with the U.S. Navyโ€™s Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) The primary location for performance of the work will be in Newport, RI with very limited travel, if any, required within the continental United States.
