Job description

We employ over 600 associates just in our retail stores alone. GESMV also offers over 40 programs and services to the community ranging from job readiness programs to assistive technology services. We offer part-time and full-time positions, with a variety of schedules and hours available. We are always looking for driven, enthusiastic people to join our team.
Summary
Develops, coordinates, and conducts vocational training and certification classes to prepare clients for successful employment, including training on digital skills, customer service, janitorial, and food service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. In conjunction with vocational training team, develops and delivers a variety of vocational training programs and certifications that meet student and employer needs.
  2. Maintains curricula and materials for vocational training programs as assigned.
  3. Provides instruction through various modalities; in-person, group and individual service delivery, blended learning, and virtual online methodologies as appropriate.
  4. Researches and develops additional training related to industry-recognized certifications, short-term credentialing, pre-apprenticeship, and apprenticeship programs as assigned.
  5. Assists in the development of new services that meet the needs of the community, fulfill Goodwill/Easter Seals' mission, and expand the departments' array of services.
  6. Understands program eligibility and enrollment criteria, specifically WIOA, TANF, and OOD standards.
  7. Completes documentation and maintains records to meet requirements for specific funding sources.
  8. Markets programs and maintains communication with referral sources concerning training needs.
  9. Facilitates communication with internal and external resources to determine skills training needs.
  10. Ensures maintenance of curricula and materials; provides regular inventory of training materials to Vocational Training Facilitator.
  11. Provides input for monthly staffing with program participants, referral sources, etc., to discuss program planning and progress.
  12. Other duties may be assigned.
  13. Complies with all Agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout work areas and maintains same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in the area of Vocational Education/Education field preferred or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a teaching or training capacity.
Experience Requirements
Experience with developing and presenting classroom curricula associated with general education. Strong computer skills needed to teach certifications in a virtual environment.

Employee must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. Employee must use own vehicle for travel within the GESMV service area; must have and maintain a reliable source of transportation.
Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
