Job description

As the North American headquarters for G-TEKT Corporation, Jefferson Industries actively participates in the Global Automotive Industry. As part of our involvement, Jefferson Industries Corporation offers design and development for press dies and other tools necessary to produce automotive products. We embrace programs for product development including product design review and Advanced Product Quality Planning. Our facilities support high quality product manufacturing, and we provide a timely and flexible approach to meeting the needs of our customers. 

 We are actively seeking an Apprentice to join our Press Maintenance team on 3rd shift (core schedule, Sunday -  Thursday, 10:00 pm - 06:30 am)

Job Duties May Include:

  • Perform bi-weekly inspections on all presses and report findings in PLEX inspection report
  • Perform monthly inspections on all presses and report findings in PLEX inspection report
  • Preform monthly inspections on all scrap conveyors and report findings in PLEX inspection report
  • Support shutdown activities
  • Verify needed spare parts are on hand and stocked.  Items that are not controlled by MRO may need to be added
  • Perform basic maintenance activities, which may included basic wiring or similar activities
  • All work should be recorded in Plex.  This should include work was done and how long.  
  • Work with Press Maintenance Technician to learn technical skills that is needed to develop to become a Press Maintenance Technician
  • Follow all Safety Policies and wear all proper PPE
  • Other duties as assigned
