Job description

Overview:
Corporate Tools is hiring a Front-End Web Developer to help build, optimize, and maintain our web applications. This is a remote position, but if you're near one of our local offices, you're welcome to come hangout with us in-office as well. Our main offices are in Post Falls, ID, and Spokane, WA; we also have satellite offices in Austin, TX, and Salt Lake City, UT. You'll be working 40 hours a week and, of course, enjoy great company benefits. We are looking for someone with strong Front-End Development expertise, the ability to drive UI/UX execution, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, user-focused applications. You will contribute to our core codebase, documentation, and Front-End architecture, ensuring usability, accessibility, and performance.
You'll need to be able to operate in a WordPress-heavy environment. This will include PHP, SCSS, JS, maybe a little Vue (but we are okay with React too), as well as some other front-end frameworks. The ideal candidate won't be afraid to jump in and figure things out.. while being guided by a great team of developers when you get stuck. You'll be the type that hates the standard themes that come from a site-builder tool and instead like crafting your own themes from scratch. If this sounds like your cup of Joe (or Mike) then we want to speak with you!
Wage:
$90,000-$95,000/Year DOE
Benefits:
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental and vision for employees
  • Annual review with raise option
  • 22 days Paid Time Off accrued annually, and 4 holidays
    • After 3 years, PTO increases to 29 days. Employees transition to flexible time off after 5 years with the company-not accrued, not capped, take time off when you want
    • The 4 holidays are: New Year's Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Up to 6% company matching 401(k) with no vesting period
  • Quarterly allowance
    • Use to make your remote work set up more comfortable, for continuing education classes, a plant for your desk, coffee for your coworker, a massage for yourself... really, whatever
  • Open concept office with friendly coworkers
  • Creative environment where you can make a difference
  • No dumb benefits like free dog walking on the weekends that snobby hipster places have to make you feel cool, but mathematically won't cost the company much money because you won't use it
  • Trail Mix Bar oh yeah

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, launch, and maintain websites of varying sizes, ensuring scalability, performance, and usability.
  • Ability to drive UI/UX planning and execution, making design decisions when guidance is limited.
  • Adhere to high Frontend development standards, prioritizing accessibility, responsiveness, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and bugs, ensuring smooth and efficient site performance.
  • Contribute to documentation and core codebase, improving internal processes and best practices.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and technical writers to produce high-quality web products.
  • Maintain clear and open communication, supporting company goals and fostering a collaborative team culture.

Requirements:
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a professional, web development environment.
  • Strong Front-End development experience with WordPress (PHP), JavaScript, HTML/SCSS, and Git.
  • Experience with Vue or React.
  • Ability to lead UI/UX execution without direct guidance from design teams.
  • Experience with scalable Frontend architecture and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with Confluence and Jira for documentation and project tracking.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
