Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a New Product Introduction (NPI) Process Engineering Co-Op located in our Nashua, NH site.
Reporting to the NPI Engineering Manager, the student will work with process engineers across a range of projects to help move our new products from the early prototype stage into pilot line production and final transfer to our contract manufacturer.
What a typical day looks like:
  • Assess new medical product designs for manufacturability (DFM) and ease of assembly (DFA).
  • Participate in the build of electro-mechanical assemblies to help develop assembly process flows and identify assembly risks that may lead to product failure.
  • Create detailed assembly process documents that will be used by our pilot production teams and contract manufacturers to assemble our products.
  • Work with the lead process engineer to identify and develop assembly and test tools used in the building of our products.
  • Assist in the evaluation of product assembly issues and collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop solutions to resolve the issue.
  • Assist in equipment development and validation activities, including designing and executing DoEs to determine operating limits for production-intent processes.

Student qualities/experience we're seeking for this Co-Op assignment:
  • Strong ethic of initiative and personal ownership of work product.
  • Solutions-oriented attitude when challenges arise - there will be problems and we will fix them!
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with structured problem-solving experience (5Why, Ishikawa, RedX) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to function within a team, with project team experience (FIRST, FormulaSAE, Human Powered Vehicle, DBF, etc.) a strongly preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in SolidWorks (part and assembly creation, 2D drawing creation).
  • Demonstrated capability in technical or creative writing.
  • Experience working within a machine shop.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work full time, on-site, in our Nashua, NH NPI center.

Co-Op Program Requirements:
  • Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for the assignment term (Jan - Jun 2027)
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university studying Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • 3.0 minimum GPA
