About the Role:
We are looking for a Sr. Web Engineering Manager to lead our web development team to build a secure, scalable, high performance, localized website experience for consumers to explore, lease or purchase, and own Lucid vehicles. This role requires a deep understanding of front-end and back-end web technologies, leadership skills to mentor and grow a team, and experience in driving technical and architectural strategy. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and IT, and lead an engineering team to deliver user-friendly, maintainable, and efficient web solutions.

You Will:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of web engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Define and execute technical strategies to improve website performance, scalability, localization and maintainability.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of website updates, ensuring best practices in development, coding, testing, and security.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align technical and architectural solutions with business goals.
  • Architect and review software solutions, continuously optimizing and ensuring adherence to core vitals standards, coding standards, design standards, and security best practices. Translate complex business needs into technical specifications and actionable tasks
  • Drive innovation and adoption of modern web technologies such as NextJS SSR, React and Storybook frameworks, Contentful CMS, and development methodologies.
  • Manage project timelines, technical roadmaps, and resource allocation to deliver high quality software on schedule.
  • Advocate for and implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automated testing.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge. 


You Bring:

  • 10+ years of web development experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proficiency in and experience with front-end frameworks like React.
  • Strong back-end development experience with NextJS, Playwright, and Contentful CMS.
  • Expertise in building RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architectures.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Solid understanding of **CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, sprint and kanban planning, and team collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of database systems such as DynamoDB.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make architectural decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work and prioritize in a fast-paced environment to lead the team to efficient delivery of results. 


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker, AWS ECS, and Fargate.
  • Background in performance optimization, caching strategies, and security best practices.
