Web Dev Intern information

What does a web dev intern do?

A Web Development Intern assists in building, testing, and maintaining websites or web applications under the guidance of experienced developers. Their tasks may include writing code, fixing bugs, updating content, and collaborating with team members to improve site functionality and user experience. Interns often gain exposure to programming languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular. This role is designed to help students or entry-level professionals gain practical experience and develop technical skills needed for a career in web development.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a web dev intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Web Dev Intern, you need a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web development concepts, often supported by coursework or personal projects. Familiarity with code editors, version control systems like Git, and frameworks such as React or Bootstrap is highly beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and effective communication help you adapt quickly and collaborate with team members. These skills are crucial for contributing to real-world projects, receiving feedback, and building a foundation for a successful web development career.

What are some common challenges faced by web dev interns during projects, and how can they overcome them?

Web Dev Interns often encounter challenges such as unfamiliarity with codebases, adapting to agile workflows, and balancing learning with delivering on deadlines. It's common to feel overwhelmed at first, but regularly seeking guidance from mentors, breaking down tasks into manageable pieces, and actively participating in team stand-ups can help. Collaborating closely with other developers and asking questions early on also fosters growth and ensures smoother integration into the team's projects.

Job description

Sales Development Intern
Browserbase is the web browser for AI agents and automation. We give developers a high-performance, headless browser platform so they can run, scale, and observe automation - without managing infrastructure.
As a Sales Development Intern, you'll help Browserbase identify and engage founders, CTOs, technical teams, and high-potential accounts exploring the future of browser automation. This is a part-time internship designed for someone excited to learn modern sales development, outbound strategy, and developer-focused GTM.
Time commitment: 20 hours per week
Location: 1 Post Street 15th Floor, San Francisco.
What you'll do
Support thoughtful, research-driven outbound to AI startups, data teams, dev tools companies, and enterprises across email, LinkedIn, and calls.
Use a modern GTM stack - Clay, Unify, sequencing tools, AI assistants, and HubSpot - to:
  • Build precise account and contact lists
  • Enrich and segment target accounts
  • Draft personalized outreach for technical buyers
  • Help generate tailored outbound at scale

Qualify inbound and outbound leads and help book high-quality discovery calls for Account Executives.
Research accounts to uncover pain points, map Browserbase use cases, and identify relevant reasons to reach out.
Maintain a high-quality activity cadence that prioritizes targeted, high-intent outreach over mass volume.
Share field insights with Sales, Marketing, and Product to help refine messaging, campaigns, and ICP learnings.
Keep CRM and outbound systems clean, accurate, and up to date.
Develop a strong understanding of Browserbase's product and core use cases - AI agents, automation, scraping, QA, and more.
You're a good fit if you:
  • Are early in your sales, business development, or GTM career and excited to learn.
  • Are interested in AI, automation, developer tools, and technical products.
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly across email, LinkedIn, and calls.
  • Enjoy research and can turn account insights into relevant outreach.
  • Are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing weekly activity goals.
  • Learn new GTM tools quickly and enjoy experimenting with them.
  • Are self-motivated, curious, and energized by measurable goals.
  • Are comfortable asking questions, getting feedback, and improving quickly.
  • Can commit to 20 hours per week.
Even better if you:
  • Have prior internship, campus, sales, customer-facing, or metrics-driven experience.
  • Have used tools like Clay, Unify, Apollo, HubSpot/Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Loom, or AI-driven sales tooling.
  • Have worked with or sold to technical audiences - developers, ML engineers, data teams, founders, or CTOs.
  • Have early-stage startup experience or are excited by ambiguity.
  • Stay resilient and upbeat - treating each "no" as useful signal.
What you'll learn:
  • How modern sales development works at an early-stage AI infrastructure company.
  • How to research technical accounts and personalize outreach.
  • How to use AI and GTM tooling to build scalable outbound workflows.
  • How to qualify leads and create pipeline for Account Executives.
  • How Sales, Marketing, Product, and Growth collaborate in a fast-growing startup.
  • How to communicate Browserbase's value to technical audiences.
Why join us:
  • Help define how modern teams adopt AI-driven browser automation.
  • Work closely with a small, ambitious team where your work has immediate impact.
  • Learn directly from Sales and GTM teammates building Browserbase's pipeline engine.
  • Join a company building at the intersection of AI, automation, and developer experience.
