The primary role of the Sr. Front End Web Developer will translate the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. This position will work with Brand Creative & Web Marketing teams to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation. This candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the presentation layer development including HTML markup, CSS styling, JavaScript functionality and unit testing on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform..
Responsibilities
  • Implement scalable enterprise-level web applications on a content management platform; Develop well-structured CSS/CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript and HTML/HTML5 to build out large-scale, responsive websites and applications
  • Leveraging adaptive-responsive layouts to deliver new and enhanced features to spec that work across a range of devices including PCs, tablets, and mobile phones.
  • Lead overall UI/UX and Front-End technology direction of applications; Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Provide quality feedback in peer-to-peer code reviews; Work with development and QA teams to code HTML/CSS/JavaScript, test, and verify projects through development process
  • Measure site performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize frontend code; Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Site optimization for SEO and page performance
  • Optimize existing code with engineering best practices
  • Document frontend component design and implementation
  • Providing technical and thought leadership within your knowledge domain, and setting a precedent for operational excellence across the organization
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies; Train and/or mentor other team members, and peers as appropriate

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Computer Science or related field. In lieu of degree, 8+ years' experience in software design and development with expert level expertise in multiple programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS.
  • 3+ years' experience developing on Content Management Systems (ex: AEM, Drupal, Sitecore)
  • Experience developing scalable and modular web applications
  • Experience with modern web technologies and techniques such as HTML5, CSS3, CSS frameworks, CSS pre-processors, ES6, JavaScript build tools
  • Experience in developing software using Front-end libraries/frameworks such as jQuery, Angular, React
  • Tagging & Analytics (ex: Adobe DTM/Launch, Tealium, Google Tag Manager)
  • A/B Testing (ex: Adobe Target, AB Tasty, Evergage)
  • Experience with web servers such as Apache, NGINX, IIS
  • Experience in applying software engineering best practices, setting front-end software and UX implementation standards
  • Experience in integrating Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) with reactcomponents in both headful and headless manner
  • Experience in waterfall and/or agile software methodologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in easy-to-understand business terms

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with application development tools and content management systems like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Drupal, or Sitecore
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Dynatrace
  • Demonstrated UI implementation experience, and with a portfolio of work that demonstrates detailed attention to typography, color, imagery, motion, and graphic elements
  • Experience in developing custom reusable components
  • Strong knowledge in SEO, ADA compliance, performance optimization techniques
  • Experience in using Jest, Jasmine, Mocha, and Junit with Mockito
  • Experience of working in multi repository code base
  • Excellent knowledge of working with dynamic data using services (e.g., JSON, XML, REST APIs etc)
  • Experience integrating with a Content Delivery Network
  • Demonstrate understanding of backend technologies such as Java, PHP, .NET, Python
  • Working knowledge and experience of SOA using RESTful web services and API platform integrations
  • Demonstrated understanding of industry trends, development products and environments as well as best practices for web application design and development
  • Experience in customizing webpack configurations and writing custom plugins to bundle code as UMD bundle for isomorphic consumption
