Overview

Support the development and delivery of clear, engaging, and impactful content that helps customers successfully use Esri technology. As a Web Content Editor, you will coordinate communications for technical support programs and initiatives, edit and maintain technical support documentation, and support content strategy efforts across the organization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help ensure content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with customer and business needs. 

Responsibilities

  • Edit and maintain technical support knowledge base content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, consistency, and usability
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to resolve technical questions and improve content quality
  • Write, edit, and publish engaging content tailored to multiple audiences and communication channels 
  • Coordinate and deliver communications for technical support projects, including distributor and customer-facing content
  • Support customer communications and campaign execution through established workflows and project management systems 
  • Analyze content performance and stakeholder feedback to identify improvement opportunities and support content strategy initiatives
  • Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines while adapting to changing business needs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align messaging, content priorities, and customer experience goals 

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in content creation, editing, technical writing, communications, marketing, or a related field 
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical writing, developmental editing, and copyediting skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrated success developing content for diverse audiences and adapting tone, messaging, and style to meet audience needs
  • Proficiency in editing and publishing web content, including HTML and web content management best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Proven ability to build effective partnerships and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve shared goals
  • Analytical skills to evaluate information, synthesize insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies and business systems, including Salesforce, developing working knowledge of ArcGIS products
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, GIS, Technical Communications, or a related field

  • Master's degree in communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, GIS, Technical Communications, or a related field
  • Experience with customer-facing communications, campaign development, or web content management
  • Familiarity with the ArcGIS system and Esri product portfolio
