Web Application Quality Assurance & Test Engineer

The Opportunity:

When a user tries a new system, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. That's why we need you, an experienced quality assurance analyst who knows how to thoroughly test software and ensure that our team releases the best system possible.

As a Web Application Quality Assurance & Test Engineer, you'll work with developers, testers and scrum masters on a team that builds and maintains important web-based software systems. You'll develop and implement test plans and ensure requirements are met.

As an expert test engineer, you'll generate problem resolutions and track quality assurance standards to observe how the system performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You'll expand upon your experience in various types of testing, including manual, automation, performance, and accessibility. This is an opportunity to broaden your skills in documenting and solving system deficiencies as well as growing your testing and technical acumen.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with software test engineering

  • 2+ years of experience testing web-based applications

  • Experience writing scripts or using automated test frameworks to test software functionality

  • Experience creating documented test plans and procedures

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience working with IT or software development, or 8+ years of experience working with IT or software development in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience writing scripts or software

  • Experience writing tests for Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium

  • Ability to automate software testing processes

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
