Job description

We are seeking a senior-level web developer to architect, code, and deploy complex web solutions across the full SDLC. If you have strong technical leadership skills and a passion for open-source tech, we want to hear from you!

Position Details

  • Work Arrangement: 100% Remote (Nationwide candidates welcome)
  • Location/Timezone: Columbia, SC / EST Shift (Includes on-call rotations for emergency updates)
  • Interview Process: One Round of Virtual Interviews (Quick decision process!)

The Crux of the Position

You will turn design mockups into functional, standards-compliant websites, write front-end and back-end code, and maintain/convert legacy applications. You will also provide technical leadership, collaborate with creative teams, and deliver training to users.

Key Skills & Experience Required

  • 5+ Years: Coding, developing, and debugging web applications in a team environment.
  • 5+ Years: Open-source backend development with Linux, PHP, Drupal (8+), and WordPress.
  • 5+ Years: Front-end tech including HTML, DHTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, and Adobe Flash.
  • 5+ Years: Relational databases (SQL or MySQL).
  • 5+ Years: Experience working within the Public Sector / Government space.
  • Core Skills: Apache web server configuration and full-cycle CMS deployment.

Highly Desired & Additional Skills

  • CMS maintenance (applying Drupal patches and fixing application security issues).
  • Strong design tool literacy (Adobe Photoshop, Captivate, and Adobe Pro for fillable forms).
  • Core understanding of web accessibility/disability compliance and cross-browser standards.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and a knack for knowledge transfer/training.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree OR 5+ years of equivalent professional work experience.
