Launched in October 2021, the platform builds upon FOX News Channel's expansive newsgathering units & FOX Television Stations' added resources with a combined 120 meteorologists for a comprehensive suite of weather products featuring local, regional and national reporting, in addition to live programming. Utilizing multiple radar systems, including an immersive mobile 3D radar, and more than 100,000 HD cameras located around the country, the service offers users an innovative approach to forecasting, including coverage surrounding all weather patterns, from immediate to long-term. FOX Weather is available via foxweather.com, the FOX Weather app on IOS and Android devices, as well as Tubi, Apple TV, Amazon, and Roku, through FOX's Connected TV Apps.JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Weather is looking for an experienced off-air Weather Producer/Meteorologist to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering accurate, engaging, and impactful weather coverage across our digital and linear platforms. Working closely with meteorologists, producers, and digital teams, you'll create compelling weather content, produce graphics, and provide expert meteorological guidance during both daily coverage and major weather events.

This is an off-air position. Candidates must be available to work weekends, overnights, and other hours as needed in a 24/7 live news environment.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the presentation team to pitch weather coverage ideas, produce weather segments, and provide meteorological guidance

  • Create and update daily weather graphics using TruVu MAX

  • Monitor weather data, forecasts, and developing weather events to create graphics and content for all FOX Weather platforms

  • Provide in-studio graphical and informational support to on camera meteorologists and control room staff

  • Deliver timely, accurate weather information to FOX Weather and its partners

  • Support breaking weather coverage with real-time analysis and guidance

  • Ensure the accuracy of editorial assets before they air

  • Maintain consistency in weather presentation and production workflows

  • Lead or support training on weather systems, forecasting tools, and meteorological topics

  • Troubleshoot graphics platform issues and help resolve technical challenges

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in a broadcast television environment using TruVu MAX

  • Strong understanding of meteorology and the science behind impactful weather events

  • Ability to analyze rapidly changing weather conditions and communicate them clearly under deadline pressure

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, live production environment

  • Enthusiasm for new technology and innovative approaches to weather storytelling

  • Experience supporting and working closely with on-air talent

  • Flexibility to work weekends, overnights, holidays, and other hours as needed in a 24/7 newsroom

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $92,000.00-117,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
