Whether you're a recent graduate or have up to two years of experience, you'll play an important role in delivering impactful land development projects. If you're passionate about site design, eager to learn from experienced engineers, and excited to make a national impact, we want to hear from you!

Why Join IFS?

At IFS, we design impactful infrastructure that serves communities across the country—especially through our federal government partnerships like the Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemeteries, and VA Medical Centers. We're a people-first company that values innovation, growth, and work-life balance.

As a Junior Civil Engineer at IFS, you'll get the chance to:

  • Assist with site evaluations, schematic designs, and design documentation for a range of land development projects.
  • Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to perform design tasks related to site layouts, grading, stormwater systems, and utilities.
  • Work closely with project managers, senior engineers, and other team members on both private-sector and federal projects.
  • Help manage project schedules, budgets, and contribute to proposal preparation.
  • Attend site visits for field evaluations and assist with project coordination.
  • Support designs related to roadways, utilities, grading, erosion control, and stormwater management.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 0 - 2 years of professional experience in civil site design or land development
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (experience with Civil 3D strongly preferred)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented

Nice-to-Haves:

What You’ll Get

At IFS, you’ll be part of a people-first company that values your growth and well-being. Here’s what we offer:

  • ???? Competitive salary: $60,000–$80,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
  • ⏰ 9/80 flexible work schedule after 60 days (every other Friday off!)
  • ✈️ Opportunities for travel and exposure to unique national projects
  • ???? 15 days PTO + 9 paid holidays per year
  • ???? Medical & dental insurance
  • ???? 401(k) with company match
  • ???? Preferred technology and peripherals provided
