What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for a Process Engineer to help us expand our industrial wastewater management practice. We would like you based out of Virginia Beach, VA. 

How you can make an impact
  • Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific principles. and
  • Prepares and reviews engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
  • Assist in projects and personnel as necessary to meet both client and SCS expectations.
  • Makes decisions independently on engineering or scientific problems and methods, plans and coordinates work, and represents the company at meetings and conferences.
  • Field work in varied terrain and weather may be required, including but not limited to, surveys/data gathering, construction quality assurance, inspections, system commissioning and startup, etc.
  • Office based tasks including but not limited to: designing treatment systems, preparation of project drawings such as PFDs and P&IDS, CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report writing, creating site plans and facility diagrams, permit applications, etc.
  • Business development including but not limited to: proposal preparation, meeting with clients, and attending industry-related conferences/trade shows.
  • Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, or any other related engineering discipline, is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of process engineering experience required.
  • Technical experience in the design of wastewater treatment systems, equipment sizing, piping design, and process controls as well as report preparation, permit coordination, and construction phase services is preferred.
  • E.I.T. strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and current engineering design software.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.
Pay RangeUSD $78,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.Additional InformationPlease note that our pay ranges are determined by several factors, including relevant experience, internal pay equity, and location.
