Position Description:

As the Quality Control Inspector, you will report to the Quality Assurance Supervisor. You will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our defense and aerospace products within the supply chain. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, documenting findings, and supporting our commitment to excellence and safety.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control inspections on incoming materials, comparing inspection results with technical design requirements, samples, drawings, and company quality standards, using precision measuring instruments such as calipers.
  • Perform detailed visual inspection when necessary to determine quality of product where limits are not clearly defined.
  • Remove non-conforming products and locates in the Quality failure shelf.
  • Management of NCR LOG. Identify and report non-conformances of materials.
  • Coordinate acquisition of missing documents and post-processing inspection paperwork for items received in house and from customers.
  • Ensure that material is complete and built to specification prior to shipment.
  • Record and document Inspection results and data accurately on traveler’s form and DLMS system.
  • Monitor QC Error list.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and share findings with relevant departments to address any quality concerns or discrepancies found during the inspection process.
  • Communicating results, and necessary escalations to Quality and other department area, supervisors, and managers effectively.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements:

  • Associate degree (Minimum Requirement), bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality control and inspection
  • Knowledge of relevant aerospace and defense industry regulations, standards, and quality control protocols, such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail to perform thorough inspections and identify non-conformances.
  • Strong documentation skills to accurately record and document inspection results and data using traveler's forms and relevant data management systems.
  • Effective communication skills to relay inspection results, collaborate with suppliers, and escalate issues to relevant departments.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures, processes, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general PC skills to support documentation and data management tasks.
