Job Summary
Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules | Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements

Essential Functions
  • Supervises work and personnel associated with receiving, shipping, materials handling, warehousing, and/or expediting.
  • Coordinates incoming/outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products, and parts.
  • Drafts and maintains production schedules.
  • Ensures material availability and delivery.
  • Oversees the day-to-day activities of production or operations workers.
  • Uses order volume data to forecast and estimate future material requirements.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HR Directors & General Managers.
    • Required Qualifications
      • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 3-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
      • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

      Preferred Qualifications
      • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
      • Discipline/Major: Business Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related degree preferred
      • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Leadership skills. Ability to develop and mentor others. Ability to foster teamwork. Organizational skills. Planning skills. Analytical thinking skills.       Physical Requirements
      • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
      • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
      • May need to stand for long periods of time.
      • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
      • May be requested to work a different shift.

      Travel Requirements
      Up to 25% travel likely.
