Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs introductory and recurrent Weapons Academics training. Schedules initial and recurrent munitions loading certification.
  • Evaluates initial and recurrent Minimum Required Proficiency Loads. Inspects, troubleshoots and performs scheduled and unscheduled organizational level maintenance utilizing applicable Air Force directives/instructions on MQ-9 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA).
  • Performs acceptance, and transfer inspections, towing, servicing, and ground handling actions. Removes and replaces line replaceable units & flight control components.
  • Ensures complete and accurate documentation of AFTO 781 series forms and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) in accordance with Air Force directives.
  • Identifies and communicates maintenance and support requirements to the flight line expediter or production supervisor.
  • Performs RPA & equipment packing/shipping to fulfill worldwide mobility taskings.
  • Provides, monitors and manages technical training. Conducts task evaluations to assigned personnel.

Required Education and Experience

  • Must have at least seven (7) years experience in aircraft maintenance with at least one (1) year experience in a leadership role equivalent to an U.S. Air Force Maintenance Unit Flightline Expeditor.
  • Must have prior 462/2W1 Weapons Loading crew member or team chief equivalent experience, preferably on the MQ-1 and/or MQ-9 aircraft.

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the complex word and technical documents/diagrams.ย ย 

Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team.

Reasoning Ability and Mathematical Skillsย 

Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.ย  An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
