Blackstone Private Wealth was established to meet the growing demand for Blackstone investment solutions from high-net-worth investors. Partnering with many of the world's leading private banks, wealth management platforms, and family offices, the Private Wealth team packages and delivers the full breadth of Blackstone's alternative investment capabilities. The platform provides ongoing product support, advisor engagement, and education across alternative asset classes. Leveraging Blackstone's global scale across Private Equity, Secondaries, Real Estate, Credit, Tactical Opportunities, and Hedge Fund Solutions, the Private Wealth business structures both single-asset-class and multi-asset solutions aligned with clients' asset allocation and portfolio construction objectives. Blackstone manages approximately $300 billion of capital from Private Wealth clients and operates globally with offices in New York, London, Zurich, Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, serving many of the world's largest wealth management institutions, independent advisors, and family offices.
Role Overview
Product Specialists within Blackstone Private Wealth play a critical role in delivering deep investment expertise to internal and external stakeholders. They support the full product lifecycle, from fundraising and client onboarding through portfolio construction, ongoing investment oversight, and return-of-capital. Product Specialists serve as trusted partners, providing insight on investment strategy, portfolio positioning, performance drivers, market dynamics, and competitive positioning. This Principal role will focus on Blackstone's Hedge Fund Solutions platform, and will place an emphasis on delivering multi-strategy and absolute return solutions for private wealth clients. The role includes both direct product coverage and leadership oversight of professionals supporting Hedge Fund Solutions across the Private Wealth platform.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Hedge Fund Solutions investment teams and cross-functional internal stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive sales and distribution strategies across client segments, including product positioning, messaging, content development, and competitive differentiation
  • Act as a senior subject-matter expert, delivering timely, high-conviction insights on portfolio construction, performance attribution, risk management, liquidity, and market developments to sales teams, financial advisors, end-clients, portfolio managers, and other key stakeholders
  • Develop, curate, and maintain high-impact, institutionally rigorous content tailored to Private Wealth channels, including monthly market and portfolio commentary, quarterly product reviews, thematic insights, strategy updates, and responses to bespoke client and due diligence requests
  • Collaborate across Private Wealth functions, including Sales, Marketing, Product Strategy, Investor Services, Legal, Compliance, and Business Development, to support product launches, platform enhancements, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Lead and mentor a team of Product Specialists, fostering a culture of intellectual rigor, accountability, and client-centric execution
  • Conduct and maintain ongoing research into the hedge fund and semi-liquid product landscape, including strategy evolution, peer performance, structural considerations, and regulatory developments, to ensure best-in-class product positioning

Qualifications
In addition to a minimum of 12+ years of experience in asset management, investment banking, consulting, hedge funds, or wealth management, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • Deep familiarity with hedge fund solutions, multi-strategy portfolios, semi-liquid products, and portfolio construction within a private wealth or institutional context
  • FINRA Series 7 & (63/65 or 66) required.
  • Strong executive presence with credibility and thoughtful engagement with senior investment professionals, advisors, and sophisticated clients
  • High emotional intelligence and judgment, paired with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, can distill complex investment concepts into clear, compelling narratives
  • Strong organizational skills and effectiveness in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused setting
  • Solid understanding of global financial markets, securities, investment strategies, and the relevant regulatory framework
  • Willingness to travel for in-person client and advisor engagement
  • MBA and/or CFA preferred, but not required
