Job description

The Financial Advisor Manager leads and develops a team of High-Net-Worth (HNW) Financial Advisors focused on delivering personalized financial advice, portfolio management, and exceptional client experiences. This role is responsible for driving team performance, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring advisors effectively manage complex books of business while supporting clients in achieving long-term financial goals.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Financial Advisors serving HNW clients ($2M-$5M in assets)
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback, career development support, and coaching to enhance advisory capabilities
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture that emphasizes accountability, partnership, and continuous development
  • Serve as a positive and resilient change agent, driving adoption of new tools, processes, and business strategies

Client Strategy & Advice Delivery

  • Ensure advisors deliver high-quality, personalized financial advice and complex portfolio management
  • Supervise & Oversee client engagement strategies, including initial consultations, financial planning, and ongoing relationship management. Foster an environment of adherence to risk and controls.
  • Guide advisors in assessing client goals, risk tolerance, and planning needs to develop tailored investment strategies
  • Promote a client-first approach, ensuring consistent delivery of a high-touch, digitally enabled client experience

Business & Book of Business Management

  • Support advisors in effectively managing and growing books of business with a focus on client satisfaction, loyalty, and retention
  • Monitor key performance metrics, including client outcomes, engagement, and asset growth
  • Partner with leadership to execute strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives and market opportunities

Client Relationship & Experience Excellence

  • Ensure advisors maintain deep, trust-based relationships through proactive outreach and ongoing financial guidance
  • Reinforce the role of advisor as a behavioral coach, financial planner, and relationship manager
  • Drive consistency in delivering proactive advice to help clients stay focused on their long-term financial goals

Qualifications

  • CFP designation preferred
  • Series 7 and 63 or 66 and 24 (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire)
  • Minimum 3+ years of financial advisory experience, including:
    • Financial planning and investment strategy development
    • Book of business and relationship management
  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships with strong satisfaction and loyalty outcomes
  • Prior leadership, coaching, or mentorship experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of financial planning, investment management, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to manage priorities, drive results, and lead through change
  • Strong collaboration and partnership skills across teams and stakeholders
