Job Summary:


The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, financial performance, customer service, and overall success of the store. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The Store Manager ensures that the store operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with company values and goals


Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Department Managers


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


· Provide exceptional customer service and ensure all staff uphold the same standards

· Resolve customer concerns and provide solutions that uphold customer satisfaction

· Verify weekly schedules to ensure departmental coverage that supports financial goals

· Conduct daily store walks to monitor safety, security, and presentation

· Prepare and distribute weekly reports (labor, gross profit, etc.) to track performance and identify opportunities

· Prepare for and lead weekly management meetings to review prior performance, discuss company initiatives, address challenges/opportunities, and encourage open communication

· Collaborate with department managers to set quarterly financial goals and KPIs, including sales per labor hour, labor cost by department, cost of goods, weekly sales, and gross margin

· Maintain timely, professional communication with staff, customers, and vendors

· Monitor inventory levels, organize stock, and ensure accurate reporting of product movement

· Compile and organize inventory data into accurate reports

· Effectively utilize email, software platforms, and proprietary systems essential for store operations

· Foster a culture of accountability by providing coaching, feedback, and disciplinary action, when necessary, in accordance with company policies

· Visit competitor stores regularly to monitor trends and bring back ideas that enhance competitiveness

· Support departmental staffing needs by assisting managers as required to ensure the store remains well-staffed and profitable

· Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and government regulations

· Monitor staff performance, provide timely feedback, and complete annual performance evaluations

· Oversee store infrastructure and equipment, perform basic repairs and maintenance, arrange service and repairs as needed, and track equipment repairs

· Participate in meetings with WCM leadership, vendors, and other stakeholders to represent the store’s needs and opportunities

· Attend trade shows, educational programs, and networking events to remain current on industry best practices

· Be available to take calls, address urgent issues, and visit the store outside of regular business hours if needed

· Flexibility to work beyond scheduled hours and days as needed to support business operations

· Drive between WCM locations as needed

· Proficiency in Email, Microsoft Office Suite, and Retail management systems

· Knowledge of retail operations, planning, sales, and merchandising


Education and Experience:


· High School Diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred

· 3+ years retail management experience/5+ years management experience in related field

· ServSafe/Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtain one


Physical Requirements:


· Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching

· Periods of stationary desk work

· Occasional pushing, pulling, and squatting
