Substance Use Disorder Professional - Mobile | Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee - Mobile

Location: Pierce and King County

Reports To: Mobile Team Lead

Compensation:

  • Trainees start at 37.00/hour.
  • $75,600-$94,500 Annually. The starting salary is based on the years of experience as a fully licensed SUDP. WCDC provides medical, dental, and vision insurance; PTO, sick leave, paid holidays, jury duty, and bereavement leave; a 401(k)-retirement plan; shortterm and longterm disability; an Employee Assistance Program (EAP); a quarterly incentive program; and tribaldiscretion COLA adjustments.

We Care Daily Clinics (WCDC) is a warm, welcoming, and modern facility that provides treatment for addiction in a person-centered environment located in Auburn. WCDC seeks to renew hope and purpose for those battling opioid use by removing barriers, providing a holistic approach to recovery, and utilizing evidence-based treatment to restore healthy living. Our top priority is to provide the highest levels of patient-centered care to those we serve.   

WCDC is an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) facility using FDA approved medication paired with behavioral health counseling. Our individual service plans are built around patients in a supportive, safe environment to create a personalized pathway to recovery. In addition to recovery, we also offer planned patient transportation and family and social support. 

Job Title: Mobile Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) | Mobile Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDP-T)

Location: Pierce and King County, In-Person or Remote as needed for Member care 

Reports to: Mobile Team Lead 

Position Summary 

The Mobile Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) | Mobile Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDP-T) provides counseling, case management, and recovery support services to members served by WeCare Daily Clinics' mobile clinics. This includes completing comprehensive ASAM assessments, developing individualized service plans, facilitating both group and individual counseling sessions, and providing ongoing case management support. 

This role requires a strong understanding of the unique challenges and confidentiality considerations related to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 in mobile operations. Working in a mobile clinic environment requires adaptability, collaboration with a small, dedicated team, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting that serves diverse communities. 

Responsibilities 

Counseling & Case Management

  • Provide individual counseling and case management services to assigned members.
  • Assist members in developing personalized treatment plans, focusing on recovery goals and actionable steps.
  • Lead and facilitate group counseling sessions to encourage peer support and collective progress.
  • Connect members to external resources, such as housing, education, and employment services, and assist in navigating systems to achieve stability and independence. 

Resource Connection & Advocacy

  • Advocate for members by helping them access the resources and services they need to achieve their recovery goals.
  • Support members in developing skills such as self-advocacy and relationship building.
  • Serve as a liaison between members and external organizations to streamline access to critical services. 

Mobile Operations

  • Adapt counseling practices to meet the unique challenges and opportunities presented by mobile clinic operations.
  • Apply a strong understanding of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 requirements in a mobile environment, ensuring confidentiality and compliance at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with the mobile clinic team to ensure smooth daily operations and seamless delivery of care.
  • Help create a welcoming and functional environment within the mobile clinic for all members. 

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided, adhering to Medicaid and employer standards.
  • Ensure member records are complete and updated in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning and operational improvements. 

Education & Certification 

  • Active Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) | Mobile Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDP-T) credential in good standing with the Washington State Department of Health. 

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to lead and facilitate group counseling sessions.
  • Strong understanding of substance use disorder treatment models and best practices.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass required background checks.
  • No history of alcohol or drug misuse in the past 3 years and no evidence of misuse while employed. 

Work Environment 

This role involves working in a mobile clinic environment and providing services directly in diverse community settings. The position requires adaptability, teamwork, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, member-centered care. There is an expectation that the employee will be able to work onsite at any location as needed.
