Manfacturing - Assembler 3 - (No weekends)Up to $26.81/hr in 6 months

Fort Wayne, IN (Ardmore Ave)

Start: $22.79/hr

Current Shifts Available

  • 2nd Shift: 4:10p - 12:10a (Mon-Fri)
  • 3rd Shift: 12:00a - 8:00a (Mon-Fri)
  • Fort Wayne Metals operates 24 hours/day with various shifts, depending on the building. Additional shifts may open up.

What you'll do

  • Assemble components per work instructions, drawings, and procedures using fixtures, presses, and similar equipment.
  • Perform quality inspections, maintain tolerances to specifications, and document results clearly.
  • Set up and adjust equipment as needed to meet production and quality requirements.
  • Follow all protocols for safety, traceability, line clearance, process control, and housekeeping.
  • Use microscopes/magnification for detailed assembly and inspection tasks.
  • Communicate project progress, cross-train on equipment and processes, package completed jobs, and support additional tasks as assigned.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a production or assembly environment preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
  • Possess intermediate math, reading, and writing skills
  • Mechanical aptitude, preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good hand dexterity

Work Environment

  • Average weights in production range from 10-25 lbs. Maximum weights may exceed 75-80 lbs. on occasion.
  • May be required to perform work above shoulder height.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting.
  • Must be able to access all areas of operation.
  • Standing/walking most of shift.
  • Fast-paced production environment.
  • Work hours consist of 40 hours per week.
  • May work with and around hazardous chemicals.
  • Exposure to fluctuating temperatures may occur.
