Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time school-based opportunity in Wauconda, Illinois. This position is ideal for an SLP who enjoys working with elementary-aged students and collaborating with a multidisciplinary educational team to support student communication and academic success.

Caseload Information

  • Full-time elementary school caseload
  • Share responsibilities and workload with another full-time Speech-Language Pathologist assigned to the building
  • Provide services to students with a variety of speech and language needs
  • Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders
  • Develop individualized therapy goals aligned with student needs
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as appropriate
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers
  • Support student success in both academic and social environments
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education guidelines

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License required
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP development and special education procedures preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
