Job description

Refrigeration Construction ForemanWatson Refrigeration

Watson Refrigeration is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Construction Foreman to lead commercial refrigeration installation projects throughout the Carolinas and Virginia.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with extensive commercial rack refrigeration installation experience who can confidently lead crews, coordinate projects, troubleshoot installation issues, and make sure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise and lead refrigeration installation crews on commercial projects

  • Oversee installation of rack refrigeration systems, piping, equipment, controls, and related components

  • Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and refrigeration installation drawings

  • Coordinate daily jobsite activities, manpower, materials, and equipment

  • Ensure installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes

  • Identify and resolve installation issues in the field

  • Work closely with project managers, general contractors, customers, and other trades

  • Train, direct, and hold crew members accountable for quality and productivity

  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates, delays, and material needs

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite

  • Perform hands-on installation work when needed

  • Travel regularly throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia

What We're Looking For
  • Extensive commercial rack refrigeration installation experience - REQUIRED

  • Proven experience leading refrigeration installation crews

  • Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems and installation practices

  • Ability to read and understand refrigeration plans, drawings, and specifications

  • Strong understanding of refrigeration piping, brazing, equipment installation, and system components

  • Ability to troubleshoot installation problems and make sound field decisions

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Reliable, organized, and able to keep projects moving

  • Comfortable working in active commercial construction environments

  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation

  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Carolinas and Virginia

This Position Is a Great Fit For Someone Who:

You know rack refrigeration inside and out, have spent years in the field, and are ready to take the lead. We're looking for someone who can walk onto a jobsite, understand what needs to happen, direct the crew, solve problems, and keep the installation moving.
