Job description

Job Title: Waterjet OperatorJob Description

The Waterjet Operator sets up and runs waterjet cutting equipment to produce parts to precise specifications. This role involves loading material, programming and operating the machine to defined tolerances, and interpreting blueprints to ensure accurate and efficient production.

Responsibilities
  • Load raw material onto the waterjet machine safely and efficiently.
  • Set up and program the waterjet machine according to specified tolerances and dimensions.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements.
  • Make standard computations related to dimensions of workpieces and tooling requirements.
  • Verify that parts meet quality and dimensional specifications throughout the production process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area around the machine.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of hands-on waterjet operating experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ability to set up and program waterjet machinery to specified tolerances.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and computations.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs as part of daily duties.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
