Job description

Job Description: Location: Waukesha, WI (not remote)
Rate: $45/hr
GE HealthCare Premium CT Engineering is working on developing the next generation of CT imaging using photo-counting This new technology will require integration of a new detector on the CT gantry, requiring significant prototype fabrication and testing.
Deliverables
• Fabrication of various machined prototype parts and test fixtures
• Fabrication of sheet metal enclosures
• Modification existing CT gantries to allow mounting of new prototype components
• Fabrication and/or modification of cabinets or other lab equipment required to house electronics
• Mechanical lab organization support
• Assistance with set up of functional and reliability tests for prototype components
• Document test results and review with mechanical engineers
• Work with mechanical engineers to provide feedback on designs and DFM
Required Qualifications
• Associate degree from an accredited Technical College and 3 years relevant work experience
• Proficiency with mechanical machining tools: waterjet, CNC mill, lathe, sheet metal brake, mechanical hand tools.
• Proficiency with reading and understanding mechanical drawings & GD&T
• Experience with mechanical and electromechanical assembly
• Design of test, test set-up and documentation
• Ability to work onsite at GE HealthCare Waukesha facility
