What You'll Do
  • Execute microbiological testing procedures for verifying commercial sterility of finished products.
  • Execute Environmental Monitoring Program.
  • Coordinate storage, organization and shipment of finished product samples.
  • Execute Water Testing Program.
  • Execute Sensory Program for finished products.
  • Create COA and execute communication process for finished products release.
  • Coordinate verification, calibration routines and maintenance program for laboratory equipment and instruments across all labs.
  • Develop and validate quality assurance testing methods.
  • Coordinate external lab testing programs.
  • Provide support and execute positive release process for finished products.
  • Provide contribution towards root cause analysis of customer complaint investigations.
  • Provide contribution towards maintenance and improvement of FSQ documentation practices.
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness and housekeeping of FSQ Lab area.
  • Order and perform inventory control for supplies and reagents.
  • Other duties, as assigned by management.

Requirements
What You'll Need
  • Experience in food manufacturing or the beverage/ingredient industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Knowledge of microbiological testing methods, including rapid and standard methods for food products.
  • Experience with analytical/chemistry testing for food products (e.g., sugars, ash, moisture, pH).
  • Experience with food safety risk assessments, verification, and validation activities.
  • Proficiency with electronic devices and software, including computers, tablets, productivity tools, and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Gram staining and LIMS.
