Role purposeย 

The Water Tester / Sales Closer generates in-home water testing opportunities, educates customers on water quality findings, presents filtration solutions, and closes approved sales. This role combines consultative selling, customer education, and accurate handoff to operations for installation and follow-up.ย 

Primary objectivesย 

โ€ขGenerate revenue through qualified water treatment solution sales.ย 

โ€ขBuild customer trust through professional testing, education, and recommendation.ย 

โ€ขBe on time and call the customer ahead with an accurate time of arrival.ย 

โ€ขMaintain accurate financing details and order documentation.ย 

โ€ขSupport a smooth transition from sale to installation.ย 

Customer lead managementย 

โ€ขFollow up on assigned leads within the required response window.ย 

โ€ขConfirm appointments, customer needs, and property details before each visit.ย 

โ€ขMaintain an organized calendar and route schedule.ย 

โ€ขRecord lead status, contact attempts, and appointment outcomes in the company CRM.ย 

Water testing and customer consultationย

โ€ขAsk for the sale and close business using approved pricing and discount authority.ย 

โ€ขComplete finance applications, payment collection, and supporting sales documents as required.ย 

Documentation and handoffย 

โ€ขSubmit complete and accurate sales packets, contracts, installation notes, photos, measurements, and supporting documentation. โ€ขVerify scope details including product selected, access conditions, plumbing notes, and customer expectations. โ€ขCommunicate special installation requirements or risks to the operations team.ย 

โ€ข Walk the customer through the install standards guide and explain next steps, installation timing, and customer responsibilities. โ€ขHelp the customer download the Service Matrix app and provide a brief explanation so the customer feels comfortable using it. โ€ขTake pictures of the faucet, under the sink, and the garage area where the customer wants the system installed.
