About the role
As a Water Systems Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the boiler makeup and cooling water systems.
Position Responsibilities:
• Maintain the water system equipment including but not limited to cleaning strainers/baskets, replacing and repairing leaky fittings, assisting in changing our pumps, and maintaining clean Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Perform minor maintenance tasks and maintain reagent inventories; RE-Use systems, R/O and U/F, and various additional attached chemical systems.
• Coordinate and execute the off-loading procedures of all water treatment chemical deliveries.
• Monitoring boiler, steam, condensate chemistry, and water treatment equipment for performance to determine when things need to be cleaned, regenerated, and/or replaced.
• An Understanding of safety data sheets for all reagents and chemicals used in the daily performance.
• Keep chemical dikes and offloading trenches empty; maintain proper system logs, and periodic cleaning of raw water and RO heat exchangers.
• Understanding and following operating procedures for the system.
• Monitoring the demineralizers, pre-treatment, RO, and condensate polishing and circulating water systems.
• Must have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with all shift personnel on the system status and operation.
• Perform testing of boiler water, steam, and cooling tower chemistry. Effectively complete preventive and proactive maintenance per the schedule to prevent breakdowns on equipment.
• Water washing, outage, and shift coverage support are also required.
• Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years experience with high-pressure boilers and auxiliary systems. Previous water testing is a plus. Formal technical or utility training is preferred.
• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule

Pay Transparency
Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $66,000.00 - $87,900.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
