Location: Varies around the council; Primarily at one of our three camp properties- Camp Pisgah, Camp Ginger Cascades and Keyauwee Program Center.


Job Type: Part-time, Hourly Non-Exempt


Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

The Opportunity

Are you an enthusiastic, adventurous individual that loves the outdoors? Are you looking for a fun, high-energy job where you can make a real difference? Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont is looking for a seasonal Outdoor Experience Champion that will supervise and lead exciting activities. Working closely with the Outdoor Experience Manager, you will help campers build confidence and lifelong memories.


Key Responsibilities

Adventure Park & Climbing Wall: Help campers conquer heights.

Archery: Teach focus and precision.

Boating & Waterfront: Lead adventures on the water.

Outdoor Cooking & Skills: Teach essential camp skills.

Cooperation Course: Low-ropes, icebreaker and team building course

Badge Workshops: Help girls achieve their goals.

Safety First: Make sure equipment and people are safe!

Requirements

Who We're Looking For

You are at least 19 years old with a passion for working with youth.

You love the outdoors and don't mind getting a little dirty (heat, rain, and sunshine are part of the adventure!).

You are high-energy and safety-conscious, with the ability to lead, teach, and jump into action when needed.

You are proactive and eager to learn, with a belief in the Girl Scout mission.


Position Details

Role: Seasonal/On-Call Facilitator (Hours based on program needs). Approximately 10-20 hours per week on average; primarily evenings and weekends.

Requirements: Must pass a background check, have a valid driver's license/vehicle, and get First Aid/CPR certified (we can help with this!).

Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in heat, rain, and to walk on uneven terrain, lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and have strong swimming ability.
