Job description

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Reporting to the Supervisor or Manager, the position leads and coordinates the activities of
employees.

A HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR DAY TO DAY WILL INCLUDE:

  • Leads the activities of employees; provides technical guidance to Forklift Operators
  • Troubleshoots worker and logistic problems and recommends solutions.
  • Engages in interactive communication.
  • Trains workers in operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Monitors comprehension and re-trains as necessary.
  • Adheres to schedule and maintains regular attendance at work-site. Works overtime as assigned.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing). Performs all work
    in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies supervisor.
  • Ensures that the yard is organized, product is properly stored, and product is easily accessible to load trucks or pull orders as requested by customers. Coordinates with management team and Truck Drivers to ensure there are no loading or product issues.
  • Operates forklifts and other machinery to meet deadlines and customer demands.
    Must be computer proficient, as the role requires the use of IFS system to process inventory transactions and maintain accurate material movement records. This position also supports inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinates with management team to plan employee schedules, covers shifts for loading, will calls, deliveries, and unexpected changes to load schedules

  • Forklift Driving Certification -Required
