Job description

Assembly Operator

1st Shift


The Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling small component parts used in water softener production. This role ensures components are assembled accurately, safely and efficiently according to established work instructions and quality standards.


Responsibilities

  1. Assemble small water softener components following standard work instructions and visual aids
  2. Use hand tools and basic assembly equipment to complete tasks accurately
  3. Perform visual quality checks on parts during and after assembly
  4. Identify and report defective parts, quality issues or equipment concerns to the Team Lead
  5. Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards
  6. Maintain a clean, organized and safe workstation in accordance with 5S guidelines
  7. Follow all plant and safety policies, work rules and PPE requirements
  8. Support other assembly or production areas as needed


Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Good attention to detail
  • Manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus, but not required


Education

  • High School Diploma or GED


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

Starting pay : $21.00/hr

Step 2 at 6 months: $22.05
