At our water park, you'll play a key role in helping us deliver a memorable and positive experience for our guests. What you get to do:

Being Shallow Water Attendant or Lifeguard at Water Country USA is a lot more than sitting on a platform and putting zinc oxide on your nose. You’ll play a key role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable guest experience. In addition to monitoring swimming areas and helping guests in distress, you’ll greet and interact with guests, answer questions and resolve guest issues. You will:

  • Warn guests of dangerous water activities

  • Prevent and respond to guest emergencies

  • Administer first aid

  • Participate in scheduled in-service training and regular audits

  • Be proficient in park knowledge, water rescue, CPR/AED and First Aid Skills

  • Maintain cleanliness of your area

  • Consistently practice safe work habits, including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

What it takes to succeed:

  • You must be at least 16 years of age

  • You will need to successfully complete the pre-requisite swim test, including 50-yard continuous swim, underwater object retrieval, etc.

  • You must successfully pass the company provided lifeguard certification courses

  • You will participate in monthly in-service trainings and various safety audits

  • You must be comfortable with heights

  • You must be able to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation: $13.00/ hour
