Job description

EMD LLC is looking for Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) Field Service Watchstanders to join our team!
In this role, you will support high-visibility protective operations in support of U.S. Government clients. You will monitor airspace for UAS threats, conduct real-time coordination with government and interagency partners, and provide both operational and technical support for the client's C-UAS program. This position requires 24/7 shift work and TDY travel to support multiple operational sites.
In this position you'll be responsible for:
• Monitoring multiple C-UAS capabilities ensuring real-time airspace awareness and reporting UAS events in accordance with local SOPs.
• Safely operating and articulating C-UAS mitigation capabilities in accordance with local SOP and direction from authorized U.S. Government representatives.
• Conducting real-time coordination with military, law enforcement, and interagency partners during operations.
• Providing shift coverage for 24/7 operations including nights, weekends, and holidays as mission requires.
• Supporting C-UAS demonstrations, testing, evaluations, and training.
• Performing technical inspections, system checks, fault diagnosis, and LRU replacement to restore C-UAS systems to full functionality.
• Conducting scheduled maintenance, daily and/or weekly log pulls, and remote system health monitoring.
• Producing accurate written documentation including maintenance reports, operational logs, incident reports, and technical assessments.
• Deploying to multiple CONUS locations on short notice to meet mission requirements.
Requirements
Education
• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or uncrewed system technologies.
• Associate's degree in uncrewed system technologies or technical field with 2+ years relevant experience.
• High school diploma/GED with 4+ years military, law enforcement, or technical operations experience.
• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Armed Forces with relevant technical or operational specialty (Air Traffic Control, Air Defense, Radar Operations, Communications, Intelligence, Aviation, Security Forces, or related fields).
Core Requirements
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in high-tempo operational environments.
• Experience with shift work, watchstanding, or 24/7 operations (military, law enforcement, ATC, security operations, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn technical systems and apply troubleshooting methodologies.
• Ability to define the various components and operational groups (Group 1-3) of Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
• Ability to describe operational characteristics of rotary and fixed-wing UAS platforms.
• Experience flying Group 1-2 rotary and fixed-wing UAS.
• Airspace management or coordination experience.
• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) transmit and receive technologies.
• Technical experience with radar systems, computer networks, or electronic systems.
• Experience with Linux, Windows OS, MS Office, and technical documentation tools.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License (preferred).
• Military experience in Air Traffic Control, Air Defense, Radar Operations, Communications, Intelligence, Aviation, or related fields (preferred).
• Law enforcement or security operations background (preferred).
Additional Requirements
• SECRET Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain).
• U.S. citizenship
• Valid U.S. passport (or the ability to obtain and maintain).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Class 1 DOS medical clearance.
• Willingness to TDY up to 75% of the work year across multiple CONUS sites.
