ResponsibilitiesWatch Engineer or FiremanSunday 7am-3PM Sunday and Monday 11PM-7AM, Friday and Saturday 3PM-11PM, off Tuesday-ThursdayResponsibilities
Boiler Operations: Tend boilers to maintain correct pressure and safe water levels; clean and recondition them for inspections.
Routine Maintenance: Clean/change fuel oil strainers, replace packing glands on leaking valves, and lubricate power house equipment.
System Testing: Run the diesel generator and air compressor weekly to ensure optimal operating conditions.
Monitoring & Records: Take hourly readings on steam, oil, water, air, and AC equipment; maintain basic boiler room logs.
Chemical Treatment: Safely add required chemicals to boilers and fuel oil tanks.
Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working with high-pressure steam boilers required.
License: Valid New York State (NYS) Driver's License required.
Pay RangeUSD $27.00 - USD $34.00 /Hr.Qualifications
