What is a watch buyer?

Watch buyers are professionals who specialize in purchasing watches, either for resale, retail inventory, or personal collections. They assess the value, authenticity, and condition of timepieces, often focusing on luxury or collectible brands. Watch buyers may work for jewelry stores, auction houses, online platforms, or operate independently. Their expertise helps ensure fair pricing and authentic sourcing for both sellers and end consumers.

What are some common challenges faced by watch buyers when sourcing inventory for retailers or luxury brands?

Watch Buyers often face challenges such as staying ahead of rapidly changing consumer preferences, verifying the authenticity of high-value timepieces, and negotiating with suppliers to secure favorable terms. Balancing inventory levels to avoid overstocking or missing out on trending models requires strong analytical and forecasting skills. Additionally, Watch Buyers must maintain strong relationships with vendors and collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure their selections align with broader business objectives.

We've created an entirely new way to build homes with technology powering every stage from start to finish to provide a seamless experience for our customers. Homeowners across the country can choose where they want to live, select a home plan that's perfect for them, then personalize and buy it, all online. Homebound has raised $150M in capital from leading venture capitalists like Google, Khosla, Thrive Ventures, and we're scaling quickly in places like Texas, Colorado and Florida. Come build your future with us.
About The Role:
We're seeking a Sales Assistant to join our Houston home sales team. This position combines customer-facing responsibilities supporting residential real estate transactions and critical sales administrative operations. You'll be a key point of contact for prospective buyers and agents while ensuring seamless administrative operations that keep our sales process running smoothly. This role will primarily support the Houston Infill team, but may also assist other markets or the Houston Suburban team as needed.
This role is hybrid and will include a mix of in-person work at our Houston office, job sites, and local showings, as well as some remote work from home.
What You'll Do:
Buyer & Agent Relations
  • Engage prospective buyers and real estate agents, providing information about Homebound's available homes, floor plans, and personalization options
  • Capture and qualify buyer leads according to Homebound's criteria, including pre-qualification status and timeline
  • Coordinate and schedule buyer showings, property tours, and agent previews
  • Assist buyers in navigating the purchase process from initial inquiry through contract execution
  • Coordinate with the marketing team on broker outreach, community events, and listing promotions

Sales Coordination & Administrative Support
  • Follow up with prospective buyers and their agents via phone, email, and text to nurture relationships and move them through the sales funnel
  • Maintain and update Salesforce CRM with accurate lead information, interactions, and pipeline status
  • Process and track sales contracts, earnest money, and closing documentation, ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate
  • Coordinate between buyers, buyer's agents, title companies, lenders, and internal teams on contract timelines and deliverables
  • Prepare sales reports, track market performance metrics, and support forecasting activities
  • Schedule design consultations, inspections, and buyer milestone meetings
  • Manage incoming inquiries via phone, email, and website leads, ensuring timely responses
  • Support the Houston Account Executive with presentation materials, competitive market analysis, and buyer communications

What You'll Bring:
Required:
  • 4+ years of experience in sales support, residential real estate, or customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse customers and agents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred:
  • Licensed Real Estate Agent in the state of Texas
  • 2+ years of experience in residential real estate sales or transaction coordination
  • Familiarity with the Houston real estate market, neighborhoods, and pricing trends
  • Knowledge of homebuilding terminology and new construction processes
  • Experience with contract processing, title coordination, and closing documentation
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field

What Makes You Successful:
  • Customer-first mindset: You genuinely enjoy helping people find their dream home
  • Self-starter mentality: You can manage your time and priorities independently
  • Tech-savvy: You're comfortable learning new systems and leveraging technology to work efficiently
  • Detail-oriented: Nothing falls through the cracks on your watch
  • Adaptable: You can seamlessly shift between engaging buyers and agents and diving into administrative tasks
  • Team player: You support the sales team's success and collaborate effectively across departments

Our Commitment:
We are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce. If you're excited about this role, but do not meet 100% of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply. To apply, please submit an application with your resume on the Career's page.
