About the Job

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for managing and prioritizing marketing needs to support ULAC’s portfolio of brands from product development to sell through across wholesale/retail channels. This position will oversee marketing’s role in Go-To-Market (GTM) process and execute consumer marketing initiatives in partnership with sales, creative services, licensors, and key customers. Brands include but not limited to: Hurley, Ted Baker, Scotch & Soda, Puma, Skechers, Champion.

What You Will Do: (including but not limited to):

  • Product Development
    • Work with the product development and design teams on new product initiatives and seasonal big idea and partner with the trim and packaging creative team on all “on-product” marketing.
    • Manage approvals and follow up with brand partners (licensor), acting as the marketing liaison between the teams.
    • Work with the commercial (sales) team on market sell-in. Developing compelling sales market & showroom materials to aid the sales team and meeting with accounts to understand their business objectives.
    • Trade Show & Event Activation Develop trade show needs in partnership with sales and creative director to execute trade show booth plans.
  • Wholesale Account Activation
    • In-Store POS development. Align with Commercial (sales) team, merchant team, and retailers on creative and development of in-store POS collateral and floorplan needs. Maintain calendar for decision making and asset delivery.
    • Partner with Retailers on all co-op or retailer media. Collaborate with retailers on spend, policies, objectives, KPI’s and creative. Maintain calendar for decision making and asset delivery.
    • Partner with digital commercial (sales) teams & ULAC digital marketing team on marketing creative and media needs for on-site retailer marketing and media opportunities with all digital partners (i.e. Amazon, MMN, Kohls Media Network, etc.)
    • Manage approvals and follow up with brand partners (licensor) & retailers, acting as the marketing liaison between the teams.
  • Photo Shoot Management:
    • Spearhead seasonal campaign shot needs for all business stakeholders to support business needs for POS and digital assets.
    • Coordinate shoot preparation with licensor when needed, styling and creative teams for shoots. seasonal campaigns and supplemental shoots as needed.
    • Manage Product Photography (PDP) image needs with the sales and studio production team to ensure all product photography is captured for each season.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the company needs and operations.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field and 8+years of experience in Apparel Marketing with a proven track record of building and executing marketing plans in wholesale/retail channels or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication, organizational skills with the ability to collaborate with and lead cross functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker who can drive creative problem solving and quantitative ability to understand and interpret data.
  • Process oriented. Has experience working in an environment that has established project management processes and tools.
  • Working knowledge of photography production.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Open-minded, with an ability to collaborate effectively at all levels within the company.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with ability to take on multiple projects and deadlines at once.
  • Experience working with an external partner as the point of contact including licensors, key accounts and any other outside resources.
  • Experience managing team of people.
