Area
This sales territory covers Florida's Treasure Coast, including Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin counties. Key markets include Vero Beach, Sebastian, Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, Jensen Beach, Stuart, Palm City, Port Salerno, Hobe Sound, and Indiantown. This growing and diverse market offers strong opportunities to develop new commercial business, expand customer relationships, and increase revenue. Candidates may live anywhere within the Treasure Coast, provided they can travel throughout the assigned territory and commute to the Fort Pierce division office as needed.

Waste Pro is seeking a motivated, results-driven Sales Representative to develop new commercial business and grow revenue within an assigned territory. This position focuses on prospecting, relationship building, territory development, and consultative selling of Waste Pro's commercial waste collection, transportation, recycling, processing, and disposal services. The ideal candidate has commercial sales experience within waste and recycling, construction, environmental services, hauling, equipment rental, property management, or another service-based industry. Experience using Salesforce or another customer relationship management system is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop commercial sales volume, revenue, and profitability within the assigned territory.
  • Prospect for new commercial customers through telephone outreach, networking, referrals, in-person visits, community involvement, and other business-development activities.
  • Meet or exceed established prospecting, sales-call, revenue, and new business goals.
  • Develop and maintain a strong commercial customer base within the assigned geographic area.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate Waste Pro services and solutions.
  • Build relationships with business owners, contractors, property managers, municipal representatives, government officials, and other decision-makers.
  • Drive the acquisition, retention, renewal, and expansion of commercial customer contracts.
  • Prepare proposals, bids, pricing information, contracts, and responses to requests for proposals.
  • Ensure proposal packages meet specifications, pricing requirements, financial standards, and professional-quality expectations.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms while maintaining established profitability requirements.
  • Use industry, market, and competitor knowledge to create effective and competitive proposals.
  • Partner with Sales Managers, Division Managers, Finance, Operations, and other internal teams to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain direct involvement in resolving customer concerns and service issues.
  • Participate in community, industry, civic, and networking events to promote Waste Pro's services.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, customer interactions, proposals, opportunities, and sales activity in Salesforce or another approved system.
  • Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue opportunities.
  • Stay informed about competitor services, pricing, market conditions, and industry trends.
  • Keep management informed of sales activity, market changes, customer concerns, and opportunities affecting the Division, Region, or Company.
  • Attend company-sponsored training programs and remain current on sales technology, systems, and tools.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant sales and industry experience may be considered in place of formal education.
  • At least one year of progressive sales, marketing, business-development, or account-management experience.
  • One to two years of experience in waste services, recycling, construction, environmental services, hauling, equipment rental, property management, or a related industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling recurring services, commercial contracts, or account-based solutions is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to use consultative and solution-based selling techniques.
  • Experience with prospecting, lead generation, presentations, negotiation, pricing, account management, forecasting, and closing sales.
  • Experience preparing bids, responding to requests for proposals, and managing contracts is preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, listening, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to overcome sales obstacles using creative, adaptable, and solution-oriented approaches.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability while collaborating across multiple departments.
  • Experience using Salesforce or another customer relationship management system is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to honesty, integrity, and ethical business practices.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position includes both office-based work and outside sales activities. Must be able to:
  • Drive extensively throughout an assigned sales territory.
  • Visit customer locations, businesses, construction sites, and community events.
  • Use a computer, keyboard, mobile phone, and other sales-related technology throughout the workday.
  • Perform work requiring motor coordination and finger dexterity, including keyboarding and driving.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Education: AS/BA/BS degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience. Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
* 1-2 years of sales/marketing/business development experience within the Waste Services Industry with heavy emphasis on the Commercial Sales Sector.
* 1+ years of progressive sales experience.
* Demonstrated ability to apply consultative and solutions based selling skills.
* Applied skills in negotiation, bid responses, contract management, forecasting and reporting.
* Experience with sales generation, customer interaction, presentation, client interaction, negotiation, account management, forecasting, pricing, and sales closure.
* Superior written and oral communication skills combined with above average organization, interpersonal, listening, presentation and problem solving skills.
* Professional demeanor and ability to function with the utmost honesty and integrity.
* Must demonstrate a basic understanding of applied use of sales automation technology used in support of the sales process.
* Proficiency in using array of software packages, including MS Outlook, Word, PPT and Excel.
* Experienced in developing strategies to increase sales volumes, manage costs and source potential opportunities through different channels.
* Knowledge of the Waste Industry, competitors, and relevant external forces that influence the client's buying decision.
