DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner.
- Works closely with Field Supervisors and delegate job responsibilities to the crew.
- Oversee emergency response cleanup activities including but not limited to chemical and water spills, non-hazardous and hazardous waste and toxic materials and equipment decontamination. May perform these duties as needed.
- Train and mentor field technicians.
- Operate cleanup equipment used in hazardous waste activities as needed.
- Follow policies and procedures for control and storage of hazardous substances.
- Manage safety performance and reporting.
- Submit employee timesheets.
- Comply with the Random Drug Testing Program.
- May perform various housekeeping and custodial duties and other duties and assist unloading trucks and other ancillary duties as needed.
- Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on uncontrolled standby.
- Work long hours and overtime during day, night, or weekend shifts.
- Other reasonable directives, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 - 5 years of environmental services industry experience preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of hazardous waste control experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout, required.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
- Confined Space Entry certification required.
- Intermediate knowledge of federal, state, and local hazardous waste and safety regulations.
- Some supervisory experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Pushing / pulling frequent daily basis
- Twisting / turning frequent daily basis.
- Lift items over head: frequent daily basis
- Standing: 6-8 hours daily
- Crouching / stooping: prolonged periods
- Lifting / carrying frequent daily up to 50 lbs.
- Work in confined spaces or at heights.
- Required to wear a variety of personal protection equipment as required including but not limited to Tyvek suits.
- Required to wear respirators as needed.
- Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions during any hours during the day or night.

Pay: $22.21- $28.27
The compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, work experience, competencies, and skills, and may fall outside of the range shown.
