Join Our Passionate Team as a Breakfast Cook at Our New Portland Kitchen!

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Breakfast Cook to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring every dish is prepared to perfection and every guest enjoys an outstanding dining experience.

As part of our commitment to teamwork and fairness, our cooks share equally in the tip pool, a rare benefit in most kitchens!

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items according to recipes, portion sizes, and company standards.

  • Cook all menu items to proper specifications with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, grills, ovens, steamers, and slicers.

  • Maintain proper food temperatures, storage, and labeling in accordance with all health and food safety regulations.

  • Monitor the freshness, quality, and presentation of all food items.

  • Complete prep lists, opening and closing tasks, and other daily checklists as assigned.

  • Keep workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and fully stocked.

  • Follow waste control procedures and record waste and production data accurately.

  • Label, date, and store all products according to company guidelines.

  • Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, and meats.

  • Clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and maintain general kitchen cleanliness.

  • Work collaboratively with managers, cooks, runners, and hotel staff in a professional and respectful manner.

  • Assist with inventory counts and other kitchen operations as needed.

  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • At least one (1) year of experience as a Prep Cook or Line Cook.

  • Food Handler’s or Serve Safe certification required.

  • Weekend availability required.

  • Strong understanding of food preparation, recipes, and portion control.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills.

  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong follow-through.

  • Capable of following instructions and maintaining consistency.

  • Basic math skills for recipe measurements and portioning.

  • Ability to stand and move quickly for the duration of the shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
