Network Application Engineer

The Network Application Engineer is a senior technical role specializing in video surveillance and access control hardware, software, and cloud infrastructure. This position involves designing, setting up, and troubleshooting robust network applications and cloud service solutions. The engineer will provide high-level technical support for system integration, conduct complex failure analysis, and drive the technical evolution of the company's product ecosystem to support business growth.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Cloud Service Platform Setup and Management
    • Infrastructure Construction: Build and setup scalable cloud service platforms utilizing AWS, IBM Cloud, and Wasabi for high-availability video storage and application hosting.
    • Platform Operations: Manage the operation of cloud-based surveillance and access control software environments.
    • Perform advanced troubleshooting for cloud service disruptions, storage bucket configurations, and connectivity issues.
    • System Maintenance: Execute preventive and corrective maintenance for both cloud-based and onsite server software.
  • Technical Solution Design & Integration
    • System Integration: Deliver high-level technical expertise to seamlessly integrate third-party access control and video surveillance hardware into the company's core ecosystem.
    • Application Design: Analyze client-specific operational needs to engineer customized network application designs and propose robust alternative technical solutions.
    • Advanced Mobile Networking: Demonstrate advanced networking capabilities specialized for mobile and vehicle-based environments, including the deployment and management of mobile routers, cloud management systems, and the configuration of access points, switches, firewalls, and VPN tunnels.
    • Wireless Site Surveys & Design: Leverage deep knowledge of cellular networks and antenna technologies (GPS, Wi-Fi, Cellular) to conduct comprehensive site surveys and design reliable network solutions optimized for dynamic field conditions.
  • Sales Support
    • Technical Resource: Serve as the primary technical resource for the sales team, supporting top-selling products through innovative design approaches.
    • Training & Demos: Conduct online and onsite training and demonstrations for customers and sales personnel on all hardware and software products.
    • Feedback Loop: Convey field-tested requirements for feature modifications to headquarters and verify newly developed functions.
  • Infrastructure & System Operations
    • Corporate Network Management: Configure and maintain corporate network environments, including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and routing systems.
    • IT Asset Management: Manage in-house IT devices and software.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience with video surveillance systems is preferred. Experience with Credlepoint and NCM(NetCloud Manager) is preferred. Language Ability: Ability to write technical reports and procedure manuals, and effectively present information in English. Bilingual (English / Korean) preferred Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Email. Basic experience with software programming languages such as C++, C#, JavaScript, or PHP is preferred. Experience with the Linux OS shell is preferred. Certificates and Licenses: No required certifications. CCNA, A+ preferred. Travel Requirements: This position requires significant travel (approximately 50%) throughout the U.S., with occasional travel to Canada, and candidates should ideally be based near a major airport. Willingness and ability to obtain passport for occasional trips outside US Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Work Requirements: On-site work required. Office location: 101 Wrangler Dr #201, Coppell, TX 75019. The position primarily involves daytime work; however, nighttime support may be required based on customer needs, including working night shifts at transit bus yards while traveling.
