Summary


The Shipping Associate supports daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for preparing outbound shipments, assisting with inventory accuracy, receiving incoming materials, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment. The Shipping Associate works closely with the Supply Chain and Production teams to ensure materials and products move efficiently throughout the facility.


Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare domestic shipments using UPS, FedEx, and freight systems. 
  • Pick, pack, and stage customer orders for shipment. 
  • Print packing lists, shipping labels, and other shipping documentation. 
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy. 
  • Perform inventory transactions and maintain inventory records. 
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy activities. 
  • Move materials and inventory between warehouse and production areas. 
  • Maintain shipping supplies and warehouse organization. 
  • Assist with preparing parts and materials for production. 
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided as applicable). 
  • Follow all company safety procedures and shipping requirements. 
  • Learn and utilize ERP, inventory, and shipping software systems. 
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Support warehouse cleanliness and organization. 
  • Assist with basic shipping and inventory reporting. 
  • Help identify inventory discrepancies and report issues. 
  • Provide backup support for other warehouse and supply chain functions as needed. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the warehouse. 
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred but not required. 
  • Basic computer skills. 
  • Basic math and communication skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Reliable attendance and dependability. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 
  • Ability to push or pull up to 150 pounds. 
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting. 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. 
  • Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and other industrial conditions.
